This Legal Notice sets out the terms on which alcoris.eu is made available, the basis on which information on the website may be relied upon, and the limits of the operator’s liability. The website is directed exclusively at professional and industrial buyers established within the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. It is not directed at consumers and is not suitable for consumer use.
Version: 1.0Last updated: 19 April 2026Governing law: Belgium
Section 01
Identification of the website operator
The website alcoris.eu (the “Website”) is operated by the natural person identified below, engaged in professional commercial activity under the trading name Alcoris (the “Operator”, “Alcoris”, “we”, “our”).
Role: Natural person operating the Website as an independent industrial solvent sourcing platform: an information resource and qualified enquiry forwarding service for European B2B buyers. The Operator is not a supplier, distributor, trader or reseller of chemical products and does not take title to, handle, store or transport any goods. The Operator is not a party to any resulting supply contract. Enquiries submitted through the Website are qualified and forwarded to third-party suppliers in the European supply network, who, if willing and able, engage in commercial negotiations directly with the enquirer.
References in this Notice or on the Website to “we”, “our”, “Alcoris” or the trading name shall be understood as references to the Operator identified above.
Section 02
Scope and acceptance
This Legal Notice and Website Disclaimer (the “Notice”) applies to the Website and all of its pages, subdomains and language versions, as well as to any content made accessible through the Website.
By accessing or using the Website, the visitor (the “Visitor”) acknowledges having read, understood and accepted this Notice in full. If the Visitor does not accept this Notice, the Visitor must cease using the Website.
This Notice governs the relationship between the Operator and the Visitor in respect of the Visitor’s use of the Website. The Operator is not a supplier of chemical products. The Operator does not trade, distribute, sell or resell. Any commercial supply that may follow an enquiry forwarded through the Website arises between the enquirer and a third-party supplier; that contractual relationship is governed by the third-party supplier’s own terms of sale, not by this Notice and not by the Website.
Section 03
Purpose of the Website, B2B only
The Website is an information resource directed exclusively at professional and industrial buyers, procurement functions, formulation businesses, chemical traders and distributors engaged in commercial activity related to solvents, hydrocarbons and industrial chemicals.
The Website is not directed at consumers within the meaning of Article I.1, 2° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law or Article 2(1) of Directive 2011/83/EU, and is not suitable for consumer use. Access to the Website by consumers, and any reliance on its content by consumers, is expressly excluded.
The Website exists to (a) provide general information on categories of solvents and industrial chemical products, including their technical properties, regulatory framework and typical applications, and (b) collect enquiries from professional buyers and forward those enquiries to qualified third-party suppliers who may, at their sole discretion, offer to supply the requested products on their own terms. The Operator does not itself supply, sell, resell or distribute any product. Content on the Website does not constitute a binding offer, a price list or any commitment to contract, whether by the Operator or by any third-party supplier.
Section 04
No offer, no availability warranty
All information on the Website, including but not limited to descriptions of product categories, grade letters or designations, boiling ranges, flash points, specifications, typical values, supplier categories, industries served, packaging options, transport classifications, certification references and regulatory frameworks, is for general information only. In particular, such information:
is indicative in character and subject to change without notice;
does not constitute a commercial offer within the meaning of Article 5.16 of the Belgian Civil Code or any equivalent provision of foreign law;
is not a representation or warranty that any specific product, grade, volume, packaging configuration or delivery route is currently available or will be available in the future;
is not a price list and does not indicate prices.
Availability of chemical products is inherently volatile and may change at any time due to market conditions, allocation, logistics or regulatory constraints.
Commercial offers, prices, availability, packaging, delivery timing, product specification and contractual terms are made, if at all, by a third-party supplier in writing following a forwarded enquiry. No binding contract arises between the Operator and any Visitor or enquirer through use of the Website. Any contract for supply arises exclusively between the enquirer and the third-party supplier that makes the offer, on that supplier’s terms, and only upon express written confirmation by that supplier.
Section 05
Product information disclaimer
Product descriptions, typical values, boiling ranges, flash points, viscosities, aniline points, aromatic content figures, CLP classifications, REACH references, transport classifications (ADR, RID, IMDG, IATA, ADN), UN numbers, packing groups, hazard statement codes and all other technical or regulatory information published on the Website are indicative only, and are based on publicly available supplier portfolio documents and/or generic sales specifications current at the time the relevant page was last updated.
The actual specification, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and regulatory classification applicable to any specific supply shall be those provided by the third-party supplier directly to the enquirer in connection with that specific supply. Those documents, and not the Website, govern. The Operator does not originate, validate or warrant any such document.
The Visitor expressly acknowledges that:
chemical products are subject to batch-to-batch variability and regional specification differences (including between EMEAF and Americas / APAC regional sales specifications);
transport classification under ADR, RID, IMDG, IATA and ADN is determined by the specific product shipped, its packaging and its mode of transport, and may differ from references published on the Website;
REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006), CLP (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008), UK REACH, UKCA, food contact, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and other regulatory frameworks each impose separate, application-specific compliance obligations that rest with the Visitor and the Visitor’s customers, not with the Operator acting in its capacity as a commercial intermediary;
any reference on the Website to a grade letter, commercial profile, category or family name is made descriptively, for buyer convenience, and does not imply that the Operator is the manufacturer, distributor or authorised representative of the product or of any producer.
The Website is not intended to be relied upon for specification, regulatory, safety, transport, handling, storage or end-use decisions. All such decisions must be based on the applicable documentation confirmed in writing by the third-party supplier or by the relevant manufacturer, and on the Visitor’s own expert assessment of the intended use.
Section 06
Trademarks, grade names and intellectual property
All trade names, product grade designations, trademarks, service marks and logos referred to in connection with third-party products or manufacturers, whether registered or unregistered, remain the exclusive property of their respective owners. The Website does not claim any right, title or interest in any such third-party mark or name.
Where the Website uses neutral grade references (for example, but not limited to, “C-grade”, “D60”, “M-grade” or similar) such references are used descriptively to identify commercial grade profiles familiar to professional buyers in the European industrial chemical trade. No such reference shall be construed as:
a claim by the Operator to be the manufacturer of the product;
a claim by the Operator to be an authorised distributor of any specific producer or trademark owner, unless expressly confirmed in writing by the Operator;
an endorsement by any third-party producer or trademark owner of the Operator or of the Website;
a suggestion of affiliation, partnership or commercial relationship with any third-party producer or trademark owner, unless expressly confirmed in writing by the Operator.
All copy, structure, layout, design elements and original content on the Website are the intellectual property of the Operator. Reproduction, republication, adaptation, framing or redistribution, in whole or in part, without the Operator’s prior written consent, is prohibited.
Section 07
External links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. Such links are provided for convenience only. The Operator does not control the content of those websites, does not endorse them and accepts no responsibility for their content, their accuracy, their continued availability, or any consequences arising from the Visitor’s use of them. The Visitor accesses third-party websites at the Visitor’s own risk.
Section 08
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator excludes all liability (whether in contract, tort, including negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise) for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, loss of contract, loss of goodwill, loss of data, regulatory sanction, recall cost, or any claim by third parties, arising out of or in connection with:
the use of, or inability to use, the Website;
reliance on any information published on the Website;
any error, inaccuracy, omission, or outdated content on the Website;
any interruption, defect, virus or technical failure affecting the Website;
any act, omission or decision taken by the Visitor, or by any third party on the Visitor’s behalf, based wholly or partly on the Website content.
Nothing in this Notice excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory Belgian or European Union law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence (faute lourde / zware fout), wilful misconduct, personal injury or death caused by negligence, or product liability under Directive 85/374/EEC as transposed into Belgian law.
The Visitor expressly acknowledges that the Operator is not a party to any supply contract. Any supply of goods, and the allocation of risk in that context, arises exclusively between the enquirer and the third-party supplier that offers the supply, and is governed by that supplier’s own terms. The Operator accepts no liability, of any nature, for the performance, non-performance, delay, quality, conformity, specification, safety, regulatory compliance, documentation, payment processing or any other aspect of any supply or proposed supply made by a third-party supplier following a forwarded enquiry.
Section 09
Privacy, data protection and cookies
The Operator processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and the Belgian law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.
Data collected through the enquiry form
Data collected through the enquiry form on the Website (including name, company name, business email, telephone number, delivery country, estimated volume, grade or product reference, required timing, application notes) is processed for the purpose of (i) reviewing the enquiry, and (ii) forwarding the enquiry to one or more qualified third-party suppliers so that the supplier(s) may engage directly with the enquirer. Once forwarded, the recipient third-party supplier processes the enquirer’s personal data as an independent data controller under its own privacy terms and for its own purposes. The legal basis for the Operator’s processing is the Operator’s legitimate interest in facilitating commercial introductions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where applicable, the pre-contractual steps taken at the request of the Visitor (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The enquiry form is processed through Formspree (operated by Formspree, Inc., a United States service provider) and routed to the Operator’s business email, which is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing (operated by Cloudflare, Inc.). Personal data may therefore be transferred to service providers established outside the European Economic Area, subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with Articles 44 to 49 GDPR.
Enquiry data is retained for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on the enquiry, and thereafter in accordance with the Operator’s legitimate interest in managing ongoing and future commercial relationships, and with applicable statutory retention obligations.
Website analytics and cookies
The Website uses Google Analytics 4 (operated by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) to measure aggregate visitor behaviour. Google Analytics sets cookies on the Visitor’s device and processes technical information including IP address (in truncated form), device and browser information, and pages visited. This processing takes place under Google’s own privacy terms and safeguards. The legal basis is the Operator’s legitimate interest in measuring and improving the Website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), subject to the Visitor’s consent where required by applicable law.
Rights of data subjects
The Visitor has the right to request access to, rectification of, erasure of or restriction of processing of personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Requests should be addressed to enquiries@alcoris.eu.
The Visitor also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de Protection des Données, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels).
Note on privacy policy scope. The provisions above are a summary of the Operator’s data processing practices as they relate to the Website. A separate, more detailed privacy policy may be issued and published on the Website; in the event of any inconsistency between that separate policy and this Section 09, the more recent and more specific document shall prevail.
Section 10
Governing law and jurisdiction
This Notice, and any non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Belgium, to the exclusion of its conflict of laws rules and to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) of 11 April 1980.
Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with this Notice or the use of the Website shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the judicial district of Antwerp, Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory jurisdictional provision of applicable law.
Section 11
Language
The authoritative version of this Notice is the English version. Any translation of this Notice into another language is provided for convenience only. In the event of any inconsistency, ambiguity or discrepancy between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail.
Section 12
Changes to this Notice
The Operator may update or modify this Notice at any time without prior notice. The current version of the Notice, bearing the date of last update shown at the top of this page, is the version in force from the date indicated. Continued use of the Website after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Notice. The Visitor is advised to review this Notice periodically.
Section 13
Severability
If any provision of this Notice is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remainder of the Notice to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The parties shall in good faith replace any severed provision with a valid and enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original commercial intention.
